Growing concern about world economy due to coronavirus outbreak drags down stock markets world over sharply. After over 3% drag down on American markets, markets all over Asia fell over 2%. The European markets followed suite by dropping down over 3.5%. Attention now is focussed on American markets which are due to open shortly. Initially when the news of coronavirus broke out, markets struttered a bit but settled down later thinking that it may not have an impact on world economy. Now it has been believed and experienced already that this virus is going to have big impact on the world economy. The markets started tumbling world over.

when the news of the virus came up first markets reacted and went down but shortly recovered all lost ground thinking that it is not going to affect the economy. But now they have experienced that it has actually affected the economy.

That is very true and I wonder how long would this down fall would continue. Lots of people have their money invested in the stock market and I think the scare of coronavirus is only doing damage and no good from health as well as wealth side.

You are right, the scare is damaging more than the actual effect and Most to suffer I think would be common investor. The big investment houses will take care of themselves.
