Now ... Being Private People Is A Good Thing

This morning as I listened to the news I heard people say they aren't worried in the least over the coronavirus. They said their president said it was a hoax. I saw online where a man is going to bars hoping to spread as much of the coronavirus as he can. I see gatherings, rallies aren't being canceled because there's no fear of anyone getting sick at them. I see, read, hear so many contradictions. We all have to form our own opinions, trust whomever, whatever speaks to our hearts. I hope whatever you, or I do ... we make the right decision. I understand the coronavirus doesn't cause death in everyone ... think about it though ... don't you know a lot of people who are already battling cancer, heart disease, diabetes just to name a few? These people are the ones with underlying health issues who ... could die from complications. I know when we are talking to people in a group ... say 5-6 people, I'm realizing all if not at least 4-5 people have diabetes ... not only that ... they are cancer survivors like both Skip and I. Not only that ... have heart issues. I've just had open-heart surgery, Skip has a pacemaker and needs heart valve surgery. He has diabetes and has had strokes. He's been very sick. I realized yesterday it is almost impossible to protect oneself completely when out in public. As much as we used the hand sanitizer ... we were near people who had colds, coughing ... we hope they had colds, anyway. We have 2 more appointments on Monday, Tuesday to take our dogs to the vet for rabies, nail clips. After that, we will stay close to home for a while. We are used to being to ourselves so, maybe for now, that is a good thing.

@GrannyGee Congrats on be3ing cancer survivors. You are so right about protecting oneself in public. The best thing is people can stay at home, but, that is not always possible to to keep as safe as you can when you go out. Can the vet come to you?

No, we wouldn't ask a vet to come unless an emergency. A vet here is an animal doctor, it is there too? As for doctors, they are setting up televised doctor visits online/computer. We are supposed to go to doctor appointments ... right now, we are afraid to go ... too scary. How about there?

@Hannihar I told Skip, my husband, that all we accomplished getting done by the first of this month timed out perfectly. We had already been to the driver's license office several weeks ago to get our REAL ID licenses that is required by October this year. We had also, taken our dogs to the vet for their shots and nails to be trimmed, we had gotten one of vehicles inspected ... got new tag for it ... important things such as that. I keep taking a sigh of relief that all that was done just in time. I also, had gotten 3 doctor appointments out of the way (tests, scan).

Life is full of danger. I try to live as happily as possibly. But my feasts are mostly getting together close friends or family.

Yes, I can understand. We don't get together with anyone as we don't have family now. Skip has family living off from here. Mine are all gone now.
