The Housing Crisis

There is a very real issue here in California, the housing crisis, because in some parts of the state rents can run in the $4500 dollar range and the median price of buying home is a half a million dollars, that of course is not including things like your electric and other necessities.
We definitely need to do something because more and more are becoming homeless, I was face to face with that harsh reality.
The area I live in is nowhere near as costly as the Bay Area but even up here we see that divide.
Something has to give when a small apartment can run $4500 a month, to me that's insane.

I know what you mean since the price of housing is out of this world.

@Michellekidwell No thanks to the political leaders raising taxes in the name of more money to the state which comes out of hard earned money.

Not many and they wonder why so many people are fleeing the state! Thankfully where I live it's not as bad!

@Michellekidwell And nobody lives in the houses? I don“t understand. Property goes up only if more people want to live there.

It is, and that's the reason so many are in this mess!

I know that homelessness is a big problem in CA. They need to get more real about housing costs or no one will be able to afford a home.

Yes its sad, especially in the bay area, we're about four hours from the Nevada border it's a lot less expensive here!
