This afternoon, I was about to pay contribution at the local health insurance office. After the instructions of the Accounts Information Management Specialist, I proceed to the ground floor to pay at the cashier. There, a signage is placed above the counter saying OFFLINE. So this means I cannot finish my transaction in this given time because they’re not certain yet when the system resumes on its function. Goodness! I have also encounter the same problem like this in the social security office. A number of times the transaction has to stop because it’s offline. I hope they can fix this problem because if it’s Internet based then if the provider has problems then there should be a back up or subscribed to another provider to be able to continue the service without having to put the transaction of people in delay. I will go back at their office tomorrow.

I think there are other payment options that accept online payment and youb can pay through 7/11 or through e wallets.

You are right, almost everything regarding customer application is internet-based. When it is offline, the business is stopped.

@ZedSmart I don't know if there is a company having 2 providers for internet. But when it says offline that means the system is down and it can have many causes. First is the internet of the branch office. Next is the internet of the central office. Then it can be offline when there is a problem in the system or in the application in the central computer.

@Alexandoy So it could be internal error and not just by the internet connection. I see. Thanks for the enlightenment. I know you have better knowledge on this matter as you are a database specialist yourself?
