The day is warm and sunny,
Night time came and it became cold and gloomy.
The night is dead and I am dreaded
I took a deep breath
And looked up at the night sky
I closed my eyes as I felt the air touch my skin
And the memories came rushing back again.
‘It was just like this night’
I said to myself
Just like that night
That one, fateful night
It was cold and quite dire
But I didn't mind since you were by my side
It was dark but not lonely
But it didn't matter when you're near beside me
But how can I forgot?
That was eons ago
And now you're happy with someone
While I sadly hum along to our same old song.
