It's Time ...

I was thinking that it's time for everyone to put differences aside ... become closer in mind as we won't be able to in person now.
Each day now we are seeing so many things closing here due to the coronavirus. People are asked to self-quarantine, stay home.
We are staying home though we aren't sick. This is one time living on a limited income helps ... we have to be conserving of our gas, any monies left at this time of month. It could save our life in one respect.
Every day, night as we constantly monitor the national news, local news ... I see fingers pointing ... blaming someone for this new virus. Gracious ... the time, words wasted to do that. I don't understand why not replace all that negative with positive.
Here in NC ... we still don't have the tests needed at all. Sadly, it's the same all over in the whole country. We are behind ... that amazes me because we are the ones who are the world's role model on a lot of things. Our country used to be very respected ... everyone wanted to come here.
So ... we are the ones who are last in testing ... a few tests here, a few tests there. It saddens me ... what happened to us? No, don't tell me as I don't want to argue, discuss politics. This ... I don't do ... period.
Our coronavirus cases have jumped up to 17 as of this morning in NC (all aren't far away from us) ... yesterday was 12 ... then 14. I 'know in my heart' there are many more ... only time is going to tell. I feel if they told how many they really are aware of ... they fear it would cause panic.
I am seeing something that gives me some comfort as there are hungry children everywhere. They can stop, run and grab, go with food at some schools while the schools are closed. This is food children otherwise wouldn't have when at home, it could be all they get in a day.
I was thinking this morning this virus should make a positive difference as well as its negative effects ... in the way of making people become more 'one' with each other.
You know, not to let the color of our skin ... our political views ... our religion ... our race and such things get in the way. Guess what? We are people ... we are all people who have the same dreams, heartaches, we all bleed red blood ... we feel pain.
I was thinking as divided as everyone has become in our country ... that the coronavirus doesn't know the difference between a democrat or republican, one race from another, what God we believe in ... and such. This ... we aren't divided in ... I wonder if people realize that. We all in this new world are sort of on an equal playing field. The virus doesn't pick, choose according to our beliefs, lifestyles, color or race ... rich or poor.
What I'm trying to say is I hope somehow as bad, negative, awful this coronavirus is ... positive can come from it, make people human again ... caring about the other. I hope the bullying, rudeness, mean things will stop.
I understand that it all can't all of a sudden become good ... people are human. Some thrive on fighting, fighting wars ... killing, spilling blood.
I can still hope this negative can bring positive or it all will happen in vain... no one be the better for it.
That's my hope. This is the time for people to become good people ... yes, even bad people become good people, too.

This crisis is bringing out both good and bad of people. We have people around the globe risking their lives to help people and to spread awareness. At the same time, people are cashing this situation to do scams... Scams of selling used masks and fake sanitizer.

Yes, you are so right ... all around the globe. At this time I am seeing the crazy panic in stores ... they are being shown in videos, on the news to show how people are panicking. It's really awful. They don't know if we all act as normal as possible ... there's enough for everyone like ... before.

@arunima25 Here, it seems they are only getting worse each day. Hoarding up everything. We watch on the news at their panicky behavior. I wish they would calm down ... realize if they don't panic ... go to the stores like normal ... the shelves would have everything people need. You always have greedy people no matter where you are.

@GrannyGee And some are making business out of the crisis. Hope people use their sensible side and common sense. The virus has triggered the monkey brain.

Oh my, I am seeing panic here on our local news at Costco, Sam's Club and such. People don't realize they don't have to panic running here, there like that. That's makes others react that way. It makes me feel sick seeing it ... watching them do that.

@thelme55 Yes, the world has become a scarier place. I tell myself I don't want to feel panic. Where we live we aren't in the big cities where so, so many people live on top of each other. I know they feel panic, feel afraid of more than just the virus ... they have to afraid of being robbed for what they have ... there are gangs and such. I think about such things ... I'm thankful we live where we do though we have most of the coronavirus cases only miles from us in North Carolina. We don't live in the city nor on top of someone. I hope you are safe where you live.

As nice of a thought as it is to wish or think people will put differences and come together, especially now when a lot of people are panicking. It's not gonna happen. Its just not how the human race is wired. And how boring would life be if everyone agreed on everything all the time.
Also, I think its ridiculous how big of a fuss is being made out of this virus.
