Having raised three kids. I learned that sometimes you are just gonna keep repeating yourself. Ha, Anyway, We have had holidays and birthdays that could get pretty slim. we struggled to get something, anything that will let that baby know, they are loved and cared for. We want to see them smile. Seven out of ten times they were happier playing with the wrapper and box the gift came in. Alas, Shortstack has struck again. Let me tell you a short story humorous in nature. Every night after supper I'd wrap the leftovers up in tinfoil and carry on with the evening. The next day the package would be gone and I'd assume that my husband or one of the kids ate it. Then one day while picking up some laundry in Shortstacks room I found a treasure cove of aluminum foil. Then the smell hit me. Four nights of dinner's foil were laid rolled up and scattered around the floor. I had to go ask. Well, Nessa, that's Transformer trash, like nobodies business and matter of factly. I thought I must have bumped my head and forgot something. I went on to explain why this is kind of gross and took him to the kitchen and got him some fresh foil. Thinking the whole time, " I'm gonna have to hide this foil now or switch to saran wrap." So, Shortstack had a birthday this week. He got all the cool stuff. His parents even got him a hoover board. I got him some board games and cool bubble stuff, and my oh so funny husband got him a cool Nerf gun and the biggest roll of aluminum foil he's ever seen. The evening after his party when everything is still strawn all over. Shortstack lay's crashed in the middle of his bedroom floor surrounded by transformer trash.
