What Are Your Thoughts About India ?

Hi, I would like to know your thoughts about India because most of the people in the west think India is The land of snake charmers and Elephants ? and many times i hear them saying it is third world country but lot of them don't know there are two sides of India Modern India and Rural India.so what are your Thoughts ?

Bollywood. Many doctors. Many beautiful women like Aishwarya Rai-Bachan. Taj Mahal. A country with problems like any other country.

Most of the people who live around me are Indian, and many of my MyLot friends are Indian. So my impression of of a culture where education is stressed (stressed not stressful), family is stressed, and people are a tad quiet and respectful. But some of my Indian friends tell me that women's rights have a way to go there, and that people drive like maniacs. I'm also (as a musician) interested in how the musical intervals commonly used in Indian music differ from those I'm most familiar with in Western music.
