Enhanced Community Quarantine

Our government just implemented an Enhanced Community Quarantine tonight due to a lack of cooperation and initiative from most private companies and individuals. We cannot blame some individuals, like me, because we did not receive any assurance that we will get a complete salary or any help if we will no go to work as they did not allow us yet to just work at home. What more to those whose salary depends on their daily activities, if they don't sell today what will they provide for their families, how will they survive? Those who are able to hoard foods, medicines, basic kits have the luxury to just stay at home until the quarantine is through but how about those who are not able, and their budget is not enough even for a week's supplies? But in tonight's speech, the President assured that the government will provide help to our fellow countrymen. It's really frustrating and heartbreaking situation. I hope that this battle we are experiencing around the world will end soon. I know our God is mightier and far greater than this pandemic. Let's take this moment to reflect, be united with Him. He is the Best Doctor, The Healer, and He is our God.

I think this quarantine and lock down have negative side to it. Yes it is for protection but look at the difficulties of the people as they pass checkpoint and are not allowed to pass through. They should inform the people and prepare the people for the difficulties brought by the lock down and not just let them helpless

If only people will listen to the Pres.. everything will run smoothly.. Being lockdown is the best way to get rid of this Virus, look what China did. they've been lockdown for 1 month and 2 weeks and people cooperate. Now China is again rising slowly back to normal life.

There are always lapses, but I think proper coordination and cooperation amongst the people and the government should take place. It's not intended to deprive one's opportunity to live but to save more lives. In last night's speech of the president, I think he mentioned about the support that will come from the government.

Yes, maybe this is just part of disciplining us. We just need to learn from this, let's bend our knees and pray. These too shall pass.

It has been good for the past 3 months but just last week we have one case in our province so we are waiting if the protocols will change again.

I think this quarantine won't last the duration it was supposed to be. When the majority of people begin to complain about not being able to feed their family the gov't will have no choice but to end the lockdown.

@bbghitte _I don't think this gov't has the capacity to give subsidize food allowance to the millions who are below the poverty line for the month duration of the lockdown.

I think it depends on the number of victims.. the government should be proactive so people won't be forced to get out and work for their living. At the time they implement the lockdown, the subsidy should have been prepared. people need assurance that their family will not starve during these times.

This is difficult to implement in Indonesia, some even run away from hospitals and some places are not examined yet.

Oh, that's sad @May2k8. How can the government or hospitals help them if they themselves don't want to get examined
