Vacuuming socks and toys

Hey people! The other week I was just cleaning the house again, and as usually I went through the rooms of my kids (6 and 8) before vacuuming there so I don't pick anything up that I'm not supposed to. I hated that I always did that because I wanted them to learn to keep their rooms clean themselves. But when I started to vacuum, something unexpected happened. I did not notice the tip of a sock coming from under the bed, and I went right over it with the vac. To my surprise, the vacuum did not even flinch and just got loud for a second, and then the sock already went "schlooop" through the hose. Now this really speaks for Dyson vacuums (it was a really long sock either!). Because I decided to not get the sock out of the vacuum, I changed my parenting methods from this day on. From now on, I never went through their rooms beforehand und just went for it with the vacuum. I picked up a lot of socks, legos, polly pockets etc. before my kids eventually learned to clean up properly. Do you guys have similar methods or do you not vacuum up things intentionally sometimes? :D

If you have kids in your family be careful on cleaning your home on using vaccum because kids drop all things at all places to the home. I face this problem very frequently because in my home we have three naughty kids yaar.

Absolutely the best way to vacuum! I just suggest using a vacuum that will be less likely to have a problem with all the things you want to suck up with it, i have a Hetty and she slurps down almost everything you can think of, mostly handfulls of change to short socks and smalls toys but there is no worry of breaking anything because there are no moving parts for objects to get stuck in. Keep up the good work!

I often pick up strange things with my vacuum cleaner. I never look at where I am going with it and I dread the day when it breaks because I have been careless.

It's a great idea until you actually suck up something that totally ruins the vacuum cleaner... I accidentally sucked up a large bit of tissue paper with the vacuum I didn't notice at first then I heard a popping sound... It wasnt good... Pick things up before vacuuming always even if you cant be bothered more work is better than spending more money.
