Who has ever seen a mean boxer or a mean Lab??

Butch, a dear friend - He is up in doggie heaven now, but still in our hearts.

I had a boxer who was a big baby. Protective, but he was a loveable dog to be around. He loved to hug and always seemed to know when I needed one.

My sister dog Precious - Precious
Between my parents and my sister there are 1 male and 3 female boxers. One of the females is getting ready to have puppies after the new year. They are the biggest babies I have ever seen. My dad had one boxer for 10 years but it had cancer. He claimed all the children around my parents home and wouldn't let any strangers around them. There were labs next door and both would bite but I truly believe it was the way they were raised. I think almost any dog could be a great pet if they are raised properly.

Butchie - My boxer, who is now deceased
Yes, I agree, if a dog is raised right they are great to have around. I always treated mine like one of my kids, they were corrected like a kid. I think he thought he was a kid. LOL

All the boxers I've ever had have always been mellow and great with the kids. Out of the 4 dogs I have 2 are boxers and they are the best. I love my other two dogs, Jack who is in my picture is my boston and you can see he's starting to get grey. I'm not really sure how old he is, because he was a pound puppy, but you can tell he's lived a hard life. You can feel on him where he's had broken bones and they healed without being set. He will snap at the kids if they catch him off gaurd. The other dog is a lab/pit mix and is ok with the kids. She will growl if someone is messing with her and she doesn't want them to, but then she'll get up and go to her crate to get away from them. We also have a lab next door who is the sweetest. I feel so bad for her because she is tied up. My girls will go over and play with her though. There was one time she got off her chain because it broke and I brought her inside because I didn't want her running off and she was fine with my baby and the other dogs.

I did child care and had 6 kids at a time in my care and it was continuous through out the day and into the night. My boxer was great with all those kids. The only thing he didn't like is if one of them, or anyone for that matter, was looking like they were going to hit another, he would snap. He was a wonderful protector. I miss him soooooooooo much. He truely was the best.

I can't speak for Boxers but they are cute. I have a Yellow Lab and he is awesome, wouldn't hurt a fly. My first boyfriend had a Yellow Lab and that dog was mean, extremely jealous. She did not get along with women, not sure why. We have a Black Lab in the neighborhood and it is very mean, I have seen him come after more then one person on our street. Ours is great, very loving.

I have seen aggressive boxers, and labs, usually it's not the dog or what breed it is, its' how it was raised. I used to teach obedience classes and saw just about everything...lol

All the boxers and labs I have ever seen are just big babies. My aunt and Uncle have 2 boxers, the oldest being 5 years old and the young one being 2 or 3 years old. The 5 year old one would tear someone up if she didn't know them. She seems to get vibes off of people. Whether they're nice or mean to animals.

I don't know about Boxers, but we've always had Labs, and they are so mellow! And have a very good temperament. Very good with children.

My boxer, Daisy - My boxer, Daisy
A couple houses over from me there are two labs, one black and one chocolate. They're the only mean labs I've ever encountered. They're constantly get out and terrorizing the neighborhood, even killing another neighbor's dog. I think it's the fact that they're always left out in the yard and never seem to be taken for walks or paid attention to. We used to have a pair of labs that were very sweet, lovable dogs. We currently have a female boxer who's a big puppy.

I've seen a mean Lab before, but not a Boxer. I had a Lab try to attack me in the leash-free area at our local park because I wouldn't give him the toys that I was holding for my dogs & the Lab's owners weren't paying attention.

I have never seen a mean boxer or lab. The only mean dogs I have ever encountered is those rotten little chuhuahuas. They bark and snap all the time. Most bigger dogs are sweeter.

max and his friend - This is my dog max, with my boyfriends dog max, they have become stepbrothers, and max #2 comes over on the weekends sometimes! max is ok with max#2 because we have invited him in.
Are you confused?
HOw funny. i have a lab that is mellow around me, and people i invite into my home, but other than that he gets very aggressive around people he dosent know. also he is very jealous. he hates babies, i think its because they get more attention than he does, but he has never been mean to one. also he hates other dogs. if we havent let one into our home he wants to attack it. He is no good at dog parks! He is eight though, and has gotten grumpy in his old age. One more thing, he isnt full bread, he is part chow as well, so im not sure if that plays a part in his attitude or not!

Yes, they are wonderful with kids. With my child care that I had, he was very protective of all the kids that I watched. If I left the room where a little one was, he would go and watch that kid until I went back into that room.
