How is everyone doing? I just wanted to pop on as it feels like I haven’t in a while. I have been busy but not too busy to MyLot, especially on the normal time that I do (while exercising- usually walking on the treadmill). I have started running a little bit however and CANNOT multi task during that.
I hope this discussion finds everyone healthy and Corona free.
Here is where we stand in Minnesota: 115 (TESTED/recorded) cases (as of yesterday), 1 death. Healthy people with symptoms have been told to self-quarantine and don’t bother with a test. So those numbers are likely very wrong.
Gas is $1.99/gallon
Governor has shut down public schools, restaurants and bars (restaurants can still offer delivery or carry out, but no dine in), music venues, casinos, gyms, and many other establishments until further notice.
The state has set up a supposed foolproof COVID unemployment system that is supposed to work quick if you lose your job due to COVID.
Grocery stores continue to be madness and I have a new respect for those who work there. The panic has caused the perceived toilet paper shortage, which really is a never ending cycle it seems... Also there is no chance of finding most paper products, disinfectant wipes, many types of cleaners, etc.
Meanwhile many folks are having hours cut back and even temporary layoffs here in MN.
My job is government and considered “essential”....for that I am thankful. At least they call us essential now. In a week, things could be totally different.
Otherwise remaining hopeful and praying for all those affected. Stay safe y’all.

My goodness. What is it normally? Here it is normally around $2.50/gallon here in Minnesota. Some places near the desert and in California I have seen it over $4.00/gallon earlier this year. I don't really understand the economics of it though.
Hope you are staying safe.

Here we have 21 days complete lockdown. Government has promised essential supplies but I am not sure about Online grocery with travel restrictions in place.
Some things are short in supply, but milk, fruits, vegetables are still fine.
I still feel, that barring a few downsides, a so called "Third World country" India is still doing well.
But next few weeks would be crucial.
And well I can still see some cookies and a few more eatables.

If my tenants get laid off, I don`t get paid. Its all in the air right now. BUT because I have been a "wanna be" get off the grid person for many years, I`m good. I know what it takes to live and I got this!
