Crafters, what are your favorite crafty hobbies?

I'm definitely a multi-purpose crafter, but some of my favorite crafts are knitting, crochet, felting, sewing, wire wrapping and jewelry making, working with clay, painting, paper crafts and origami, and working with clear casting resin. I also enjoy web design and graphic design, and run a personal website with a store where I sell my crafty goodies, as well as a craft website, http://www.craftchic.com, where I have craft information and tutorials. I sell some of my crafts, give a lot away as gifts, and keep a few things for myself here and there, too. What about you? What do you like to craft with? What do you make? What do you do with your completed items when you're done with them?

My mom and I work together on crafting. We sell on ebay and at local craft shows and farmers markets. She does crochet and I do hair bows and other girly stuff and hand painted clothing and accessories. I do the knifty knitter scarves and hats. I love that thing. I am terrible with the needles or the crochet though. I can do the crochet but my mom can do it so much faster I just focus on other stuff I enjoy.

I like making hair bows, sewing, working w/polymer clay, etc. I sometimes sell on eBay and wagglepop. I also sell in local stores and take orders online as well. I, too, make them as gifts.

I've never heard of wagglepop. I'm going to go look it up on a search engine. Thanks.

It's wagglepop.com and is a site similar to other online auctions. I think the seller's fees are cheaper. It has a small client base but is growing as more learn about it.

I crochet cellphone cases and sell them. I also sew dresses. Nice to know that you are a designer and able to sell your goods in the internet. I hope I could also sell thru the internet.

I was just thinking earlier today that there isn't enough time in the day for me to do all the crafts that I'd like to. I enjoy scrapbooking but haven't done that in a while. It took a backseat to quilting and then sewing (clothes) for my kids. Now I'd like to take up knitting and get back into scrapbooking. I usually give away the things that I make. Some day I'll make some things for myself! :-)

I too do a lot of crafts. I love scrapbooking as well. Although, I've gotten behind. Then, I actually caused myself anxiety thinking of what I need to catch up on. Then I kept trying to put it into perspective. This is supposed to be enjoyable. I do not have to do it. So, it doesn't have to be perfect or anything. I should have fun with it. But, with my bow business, and my kids, and, oh yeah, the house I'm supposed to be running, there's always a lot to do.

I'm into jewelry making- mostly beadwork although I really want to learn how to make resin jewelry, I like to decoupage, I make gel candles, I've done some work with woodburning, mosaic-making, and book-making, and I'm always trying new techniques and combining materials. I generally give my crafts as gifts, however, I hope to get into selling them as well, eventually.

I am a multi-purpose crafter also. I do a lot of work in ceramics and polymer clay. I knit and crochet. I also have a business website where I sell my creations (www.sweetdesigninc.com). I will check out your site. I am currently working on a series of little polymer clay dollies. I have 3 in the set done already. I really like doing crafts.

I enjoy crocheting, making scrapbooks, and making gel candles. My mom and I are doing a craft fair this weekend so I have been crafting alot. I am looking to start up an online business to sell some of the candles that I make. Why not make money doing something you enjoy.

Hello the artofmegan, I'm audraac and do different kinds of crafts. I make gift baskets, wedding gifts (bouquets, garters, coursages etc), baby shower gifts, centerpieces and a few other things. I've tried to crochet (I don't think I have the coordination for it). I would love to see my products online. I've tried to set up a website but I'm having problems in doing so. Is your website a free site or a monthly charge? Is there templates etc. ANY Suggestions??????????????????????//

I do oil painting of natural scenes and knit scarves and hats for my family. I also sew comforters, pillows, and wheelchair lap pads for the elderly in nursing homes who have no family.

I definitely need to add you to my friends list. Most of the writing I do seems to be craft related. After trying for years to sell my arts and crafts, I feel now that the way to go for me anyway is to put it all in books and sell the books and patterns and classes instead. Very few buyers seem to be willing to pay for all the time and effort that goes into making things. They want to buy finished items for less than the supplies cost to make the finished product. In other words, if it costs me $20.00 to make a painting, they want to buy it for $15. Right now I'm itching to make some whirligigs. I've never made one. I also have gourd art projects I need to finish. And I'm making display boards for all my crafts classes. So I've got my hands full, but I'm having a blast.

I like scrapbooking and paper crafting, my new favorite thing is Paper Bag Albums. I'm also a candle maker, making tarts and some bath and body products. Crochet is another one of my hobbies. I have an online store where I sell my candles and tarts at http://www.LittleStarsTarts.com, and as far as my Paper Bag Albums I hope to have a store open soon to see those items. My blankets that I crochet I usually give away to friends and family and the new babies that come along. =)
