Bad news: I’m working on volume two of this countdown. I hope the titles of these songs give you some chuckles as I look at songs that have appropriate names for these times. And lookie who I get to put on the countdown..... #4: Alone, Alone - Boz Scaggs This song has always made me laugh. This is a track from my favorite Boz Scaggs album (1971’s Moments). Definitely not the best song on the album (that would go, to me, to the song that precedes it, “Painted Bells”), but it is part of a lovely collection that Scaggs has never topped, not even with all his platinum, Grammy-winning success that came later. I can rock out with Middle Man and dance with Silk Degrees, but I always come back to this album for its great variety of sounds. I knew almost from the get-go that Scaggs wasn’t very serious when he wrote this. But hey, now it’s appropriate as well as funny!
