Have you heard of the quarantine fifteen? Well, I did yesterday evening for the first time. I was listening to the news to some people who were at home ... they were laughing, talking about eating junk food. They were eating any and everything. Nerves ... worrying about what is going on in our world. People getting sick, people dying. I've found myself feeling worried lately ... very sad. Not panicky ... but, deeply sad to my soul. I'm not supposed to be eating extra food ... junk food. I know better. I've come too far to begin to put weight on. This is what quarantine fifteen means ... putting on weight. Everybody is beginning to put on weight since they've had to stop all of a sudden, stay home when they've been used to going to the gym, activities, jobs, school ... used to go, go, go. When people become nervous, afraid ... not certain what is going to happen, they seek comfort. Food is comfort. When we were little our parents gave us food when we were crying ... they wanted to comfort us. I'm no different. Tomorrow though ... I have to put my foot down ... watch eating junk food, or extra food because I, myself ... have gained probably 5 lbs. I don't want to get the quarantine fifteen. How about you?

I haven't heard of the quarantine 15. I hope you can reset your life so you don't gain weight. Me, I'm still exercising every day and I'm losing not gaining.

That's wonderful. Oh, I am paying close attention to gaining any weight back. So many people say they are gaining weight now they have had to stop doing anything ... they don't know what to do but, eat, snack. Thank you for your words ... they helped to inspire me, take even more notice.

@GrannyGee A month or so ago I bought a fitness tracker. I set a goal per day for steps. I started at 5000 and found it easy to achieve and upped it to 6000 where I am right now. That's not as easy on some days and others I'm well over 7000, but not ready yet to make that change. In order to achieve these steps every day, I keep moving, even while reading posts and watching TV. I even have a set of dumbbells that I use for bicep curls while watching TV. I'm always moving. The only time I'm not is when I'm typing. The fitness tracker tells me how many calories I burn with the steps, and I looked up how many calories I burn for bicep curls. I also watch what I eat every day. I have a calorie goal of no more than 1200 per day. Yes, I go over, but even on those days I do, the number of calories I burn while exercising, keeps it in perspective and I'm losing weight.

@just4him Wow, you are really inspiring me to become even more aware of moving ... I think I've stopped doing everything lately ... I guess in sort of disbelief, the shock of all that is happening. I appreciate you sharing with me and anytime you want to ... tell me to keep me on my toes. I need to hold myself accountable again by totaling end of day calories.

Me either, but I did put on some weight. Some of it is from stress related eating. So I try to exercise at commercials. Not every one, but I do try to keep moving.

That's a good idea to exercise at each commercial ... as many as there are ... that would be a lot of exercise in one day!

@GrannyGee I do as much as I can... even if it's only 5 a day.

@oahuwriter 5 sounds good to me. I did very well today ... I'm proud to say. I didn't exercise but, I did get myself back on track eating.

I am ok since I go for two mile walks every day and eat very little junk food. I did have a chocolate bunny yesterday.

We were walking ... one of our Pups began to break out and now, we are afraid to go out walking a lot. We can't afford vet bills right now ... and that's being exposed more in the world we don't need to. Thankfully, I already have her medicated shampoo, and some of her medicines.
