And no, I this is not an April Fool's post. I badly need your thoughts. Picture this: you had a Senator in your country. Your President told you to STAY AT HOME by all means and if tested positive, please go to the nearest medical center to be treated accordingly. And so some of the senators followed and even got the privileged first to be use the COVID-19 testing kits firs before it gets distributed to other medical centers for other patients. Some Senators followed the protocol even if the common people got frustrated as to why the elitists gets the upper hand in using the test kits first before they distribute it to those who are critically ill. Until this guy game into the picture. Several days later, he got tested and he was positive. Amidst the risk he is carrying along, he even went to the OB-ER of the well-known hospital in Makati to "accompany" her wife and the unborn baby during that time. Now after the delivery was successful, this "idiot" even went to one of the biggest grocery store in BGC, Taguig to buy supplies. Without even using his common sense, he could have use his credentials to ask someone (a maid, his driver, grab, online grocery shopping, etc) to do the shopping for him but instead, he infected everyone, including one of our supervisors who was working in BGC, Taguig as well and she was trying to buy some disinfectants that time . Sadly, the supermarket doesn't have any stock and she bought some goods instead. With a heavy heart, she mentioned in our team that she was in the said store with the time the senator was in. It was then reviewed in the establishment's CCTV. So now, my co-workers are forced to stayed at home, too. I was at home in the day 0 of the community quarantine because I am frantic as fudge so I didn't got any close contact with my supervisor but I felt sorry for those healthy co-workers in our team who possibly got infected by this senator. now they are on leave without pay. Under the RA 11332, he needs to be punished. I was about to first, raise a complaint with regards to our company policy but I am angrier about this senator who was too reckless being outside as if it is a normal day with him knowing he has a contagious disease. Plus he didn't bother to say "sorry" and act as high and mighty as he can be. The law says that he can be jailed because of what he did, but then this senator now uses his forces to "plead". So what do you think about this senator? Would you send him to jail?

I know, but he had tried to appeal that he is not guilty because he "did not know". In the event that it happened to your country or community, say a wealthy man, who is out on the loose carrying a disease, and by the law, it is not allowed, would you send him to jail because he had disobeyed the law? or would you give him consideration?

Yeah, the Covidiotic senator! I agree with you, he should be in jail. He has exposed the medical staff and other people to the virus because of his irresponsible action. His apology is not good enough!

@resy21curapika That is so so sad what that Senator did. He is not above anyone else but it sounds like he thinks he is. That is why when I go out I have to dodge people because they do not move or understand to move. I think what he did by going out and infecting others is horrible and should be punished somehow. Maybe send him into a room and lock the door and throw away the key. Maybe jail is a good answer.

Exactly. The problem is he is about to pass a law that will save himself from being jailed. What do you think? Is it just to do it?

@resy21curapika That is very very sad. Why are they protected and if you and I did something wrong we would not get away with it. That is very sad and a shame.

Power does not give you the right to ignore the law, no one is above the law
