A lot of people are bashing and even hating the Mayor of Quezon City in Philippines which is Mayor Joy Belmonte because of her statements, lapses in leadership skills, criticized as well for being slow and indecisive, and other more important concerns that are related to covid 19 crisis. For all I know Quezon City is the highest rate for the cases of people that are positive in covid 19 in which some are recovering but there are some were dead due to that disease.
Most likely until now she is being criticized due to the relief goods. Though I understand that there were also video where in it looks like her giving the relief goods are scripted and yet it is in gated subdivision. She was even reported in Tulfo in Action because the haters keeps on posting the hashtag and questioning about the Mayor.
Now I think the hatred are even too much and it is like joining the bandwagon without being reasonable. At first I would understand why would people react on her statement regarding the To those who hate me, you are under no obligation to accept any of my projects – housing, education, healthcare, social benefits, I can't blame some because this is shouldn't be the statement from a person that is a public servant, but for me it is like you are free to refuse the project. Another issue that people insist that the Mayor was the one who commanded the positive covid patient to be sent home where in fact it was the decision of the hospital who did not follow the protocol and Mayor Joy were surprised of what happened. People lack of comprehension of this or maybe they invested so much hate to her that is why they don't want to accept what is the fact. Another accusation was about the relief goods that were delivered from the dump truck. The Barangay Captain already verified to the public that is a multipurpose or utility truck. Again people are blaming again Mayor Joy regarding this issue in which she is not accountable to this one but the Baranggay Chairman. Now I believe the relief goods are still on going distributing to the areas in Quezon City but there are people who were still complaining that they haven't received the relief goods yet.
I became observant to Mayor Joy Belmonte and I just don't want to rely on how other people complain too much about her leadership skills. More so I am defending her especially if there were instances that are justifiable. Not everything should be blame to the government and rely to them.

As a public servant and figure, you are putting yourself in a position to be judged. Bashing must be taken constructively and be used on how to improve leadership skills. Yes, I agree that not everyone should depend on the government but utilize the resources every person has.

I just hope that she can improve her public relation not avoid so much being sarcastic. But then people should be patient enough and not so much into negative. Hoping that they have mental discipline and following the rules and regulation especially the curfew.

@summerscent I am happy for it when she made the public apology in which I have posted away in my timeline.
By the way to tell you the truth she is actually our Godmother in wedding that is the reason why I am supporting her and still justify on how to defend her. Though it doesn't mean that I have to be blind on her mistakes too as public servant because of course I don't want to be fanatic of any politicians. I am only hoping she can still deal and strong enough to work more especially that the Quezon City is the one that have many positive cases.

@Metatronik from what I heard she already apologized for making bad remarks. Yes, I agree with you and the people are always accountable for their own actions. Hoping that there will be more peace and order during this enhanced quarantine period. I can only pray and obey.

Hoping that she can improve her leadership skills in times of very challenging but glad that I can still see the improvement on how she acts in every problem. There are other problematic Mayors compare to her.

I am actually seeing the development by searching on group pages so that I can also monitor where are the reliefs going and how they work on it.
