Misinformation ... My Apology

I couldn't wait to sit here and write this. I have to apologize for helping to spread misinformation ... I didn't know. That is about coronavirus traveling 27 feet in the air ... THAT ISN'T TRUE. IT IS FALSE. I heard Dr. Fauci talking and he said it wasn't true. If it could do such a thing one would have to do such a huge ah-choo! No one does that. I am so sorry ... I don't believe in false information and never would intentionally spread such.

There is a lot of misinformation going around. I am just happy that you are one of those people who realize their mistakes and fix them. Not everyone is like that. There are many people out there that are afraid and no one wants to make things worse. Much love.

I couldn't wait to come here, apologize. I wouldn't ever hurt intentionally to make people afraid. I was trying to protect if that had been true. I'm so thankful it isn't true and I'm glad to apologize ... I'm glad to be wrong.

If the major news outlets would follow the example YOU just set the world would be a better place. Peace to you and thanks for being the honest person you are. Hugs!

@GrannyGee You know, It really doesn't take much to let our humanity show and it makes us so much better for it. You are a great example of that. So is our President as he constantly praises and gives space to all those helping with the worlds current situation. We don't have to be perfect just human and run with our hearts.

It seems to be just one study by one researcher which is claiming the '27 ft' figure. It is certainly not impossible that extremely small droplets containing the virus (which, of course, is itself very small) could float in the air for much longer than it takes a larger droplet to fall to the ground - think of clouds and fog, for example, which are composed of quite large droplets. The official recommendation by the WHO, however, remains that 2 metres (or a little more than 6 feet) is a safe distance. It seems, in any case, that the disease is mostly transmitted by contact with a contaminated surface and then by passing the virus to the eyes, nose or mouth by touching them with your hand. This is why it is so VERY important to wash hands for 20 seconds with soap and water at every opportunity. You were quite right to post an apology, @GrannyGee but please don't feel too bad about posting the original information: it was based on a serious study and may still be correct in certain circumstances, though, clearly, scientists need more evidence.

Thank you very, very much. I am so sorry again. I know anything is possible. I will be careful from now on. I can't tell you how it affected me. Also, I was glad to learn that my inner worry was reflecting in how I write and could have caused some to become worried. I'm normally a positive person but, I got so focused on what's happening in New York City on the news. I think so many have, also. I'm so thankful everyone here is understanding. The kind words have touched my Heart deeply. Thank you too as it means the world to me.

Do not beat yourself up. You did not make it up someone must have told you that for you to repeat it. Ignore advise of others and just follow recommended advice and guidance from the authorities!

It is still online as fact. I have been beating myself up. I got caught up in all because I was so worried. I thought I was helping by sharing info ... I won't do that again and leave it to everyone to find out on their own. I don't ever want to mislead anyone. Gary, thank you for your kind words.

I'm the first one to say I'm sorry no matter how embarrassing, how bad it makes me feel ... I can't live knowing I have done something such as this that could make life in the situation we all live in ... worse. Gracious, when I watched Dr. Fauci talking I felt sick to my stomach ... I couldn't wait to come back to tell I was wrong. I'm so, so glad I was wrong in this. Thank you for your kind words.
