Some Of Amazon's Movie Rental Prices Are Stupid Ridiculous

I saw that Amazon is charging $20.00 to rent some of the movies on their streaming service. To me (especially given the current state of things, and people generally pinching pennies) it seems kind of wrong to charge that for any rental.I think kicking their price down (and allowing more people to rent that way) would be to their benefit, but that's just my two cents. Even when things were normal, there is no way I would have ever paid $20 for any rental. As an aside: the most I ever paid for a movie ticket in a theatre was like $8.

That's outrageous. They would make out much better charging less and getting more rentals.

People get greedy when they know they can do it and get away with it. People can’t really go to the movies right now, AMA on knows that. They also know that people want to be entertained and usually will (in most cases reluctantly) pay a bunch of money because it’s not like they have many other options. People can obviously switch to Netflix, but when you’re a prime member you don’t generally want to pay for an extra subscription (this goes for any of these, not just amazon] Also, where are you finding movie tickets for $8.

I live in Southern Idaho @babytaffster When things were normal, the couple times I went to the theatre here I paid around $8 for a ticket. When I lived in West Texas tickets were even less.
