Police beginning to get too aggressive in the U.K lowdown

So the lockdown has got more invasive in the United Kingdom and police stop you sitting in the park or on park benches. Sunbathing is 100% banned. They stop cars and they may even search your shopping for too much BBQ material as we enjoy the hot weather. If they lose the support of the police they will lose control. The virus has negligible spread outside but the rules are beginning to lose police support. I have been told off 5 times in one week for siting in the sun. I argued my case but they threaten you with arrest. In fact police officers approaching people all day moving them on increases the spread , if they go by their rules and science for stopping you sitting down. We have three more weeks of this. I fear the people will end the lock-down, not the other way around, as social disobedience ramps up.

We could be building toward a clash of the totalitarian state against a people's rebellion. This has become a test tube experiment of seeing how far people can be pushed in compliance or push back.

Staying at home is the best way to stop this virus from spreading. Your government should have given clear guidelines for the citizens to follow. Even Italy and Spain have slowed down the spread of the virus because of the lockdown.

I'm currently working on covid-19 ward, people should stay at home and safe lives, being out and not listening is killing people plain and simple. Come and work on my ward and see what I have to see day in day out, seeing people passing away not having love ones in their final moment. Some people don't get it, it's simple, stay at home.

I haven't heard, seen or read about German police reprimanding people for sitting on benches in the sun.

@thedevilinme We have lockdown in my area as of Noon today but we had it also when our Jewish holiday started but people are still not doing what they should It is very frustrating that there are those that will not do the right thing and cause the rest of us to suffer a long with them.

In my opinion, they have every right to be aggressive... By going out people are literally putting lives in danger.

Wow, I'm so sorry that's happening there. It sounds like they might be using their own judgment in a negative way. Gracious. I wouldn't argue with any of them ... these days one of them might be having a bad day and take it out on one ... then put blame on them. I don't know of police doing that here ... gracious, I would be upset. Be safe.

I believe to keep the spread of the virus down, this is necessary unfortunately.

Some of the stories of what the police have been doing are quite scary. They have taken it upon themselves to invent new offences. They are quite correct to break up social gatherings in parks. If people are so bloody stupid that they cant see the folly of this then they deserve to be locked up. You think we have 3 more weeks of this!!! Try 3 months buddy. If the people end the lockdown the virus will get out of control. And then even stricter measures will be imposed upon us. Dont give the police tbe excuse to be heavy handed Stay at home Protect the NHS And save lives. That was a poor attempt at sarcasm that last bit
