Is my sat nav working correctly

I bought a vauxhall signum a few months ago. There was no cd for the sat nav. the dealer said he would order one but now has denied saying that he would. A colleague at work has a vectra with similar system so I borrowed his cd. It works ok, but does not display maps just the directions. I can not input just a postcode, I need to put an address and if the road or town is not shown I am snookered? Does anyone know if this a limitation of my car( Signum Elite 3.2 V6 21 months old Reg:VK54 sat nav is CD70 NAVI) or the CD i borrowed.
The CD listed below is on e-bay for 10-15 quid:
Vauxhall CD 2005 2006 Gb Ireland Sat Nav CD70 NAVI
but it could be exacty the same as the one i have. Is it possible to upgrade so my sat nav can show maps and have postcode search??? can anyone help?

I have found no reponse to this post from last 2 Weeks... I have seen many user complaining their post does not get any resonse and i have found that true. So just thought if we can respond to this post and make it alive... So request all to put up their value reply
