When kids stay up too late

Well today for the first time in a long time, I can say I was honestly dumbfounded by something I heard.
My son that lives in Colorado called me and said "well your grand daughter is baldheaded now". I thought I misunderstood him so I ask him what did you say and he said the same thing. I didn't know what to say, I guess I was just shocked!
I ask him what happened and he told me what my granddaughter and grandson did around 3 oclock this morining. My granddaughter is 14 and her brother is 12 and my granddaughter had hair past her showders. She ask her brother to trim her ends of her hair. So to my understanding, he messed her hair up and both of them desided to just shave her head. My son keeps his head shaved and uses electic clippers. My son was in bed a sleep and his clippers were in his room in a case, so my granddaughter snuck into his room and got the clippers and then had her brother shave her head.
I would say that was one time she sure didn't think things through before they did it! I don't think she has to go back to school this year, but I know her hair won't be growed back very much over the summer. I just know how mean some kids can be.
My son said his daughter now looks like Sinead O'Connor or Britney Spears when her head was shaved.

He just told his son that he better not ever make fun of her because of it and to remember that if anyone says anything to her about her hair to remember it was his fault as well as hers. I',m just worried how it's going to be with her starting at a new school this coming year since they are moving back to SC before the school year starts again.

@Spontaneo Thank you, I hadn't thought about that, I'll see if she wants to do something like that when she gets down here.

@sweetashoney What about some cute girly hats? I wear hats all of the time on bad hair days. Maybe go online and let her choose a few?

Poor kid!
Every kid does it though, or has someone else do it. One of my friend's nieces took the electric clippers to her head. she looked like Mr. Jefferson or the father from family matters once she was done. She cried too.

Yea, your right. I did tell my son that maybe he can buy some scarfs or something, if she wants to cover it up until it grows out a little.

My son showed me a picture of her not long after it happened, she did look a lot like Sinead O'Connor. I thought she looked cute myself.
