My cat has renal failure in stage 3

I am very sad. I received other bad news. My cat is very sick. His messy coat was a symptom. And he ate litter, he drank lots of water, he is lethargic. Today I received the result. He has renal failure in stage 3. The doctor gave him a treatment, but he said that if his body doesn't respond well we shouldn't spend money with him anymore. In 10 days we will know if he responds to treatment or not. We spent a lot of money with him. He is 7 years old. I don't think I will overcome his death. I lost so many cats and they caused me depression. It's really heartbreaking to see them so sick.

I'm so sorry for your cat. It must be tough situation for you. I have gone through a lot of cat deaths in my life. I know and understand your feeling.

@Miss_Leafy And how long did they live with renal failure? Did they have stage 4? Did medicine help them?

@dya80dya Yes, two of them. They were quite old though. 9 and 11 years old.
