Niece and nephew’s birthday party, and I can’t be there for it.

It’s Riley and Dylan’s birthday party today. Riley is my nephew, he will be 3 on the 30th. Dylan, my niece, turns 1 on the 20th. My sister is at my moms house, we are going to sing happy birthday to them over zoom chat, but it isn’t the same. I can’t be there because of the stupid quarantine. The hardest part about all this is not being able to hold them.

Sorry you can't be there. But better safe than sorry. Especially with kids involved

My nephew had a fever a few days ago, he’s better now. We aren’t sure how he got it since they never left the house.

@babytaffster i dont think he'd have to necessarily have to go out to get sick.

It's safer that way, especially for the kids.

That’s true, but it’s still hard.

Yes it`s really hard these days. Atleast you can greet them when you video chat

It seems we really need to do this for now. There will be more birthdays to come.

I have three nephews--the oldest has a birthday in August and the middle and younger one have birthdays in October. Hopefully we'll be somewhat back to normal by then.

Yes it can be painful to see this happen but we don't have any choices at this moment.
