In 1970 you would hear an alarm clock ring and you would get out of bed and go to the kitchen and boil some hot water for instant coffee. In 1980, you would hear your digital clock radio go on and you would go to the kitchen and turn on your mr coffee for a nice hot cup of coffee. in 1990, you would still hear your digital clock radio turn on as you smell an aroma of coffee that was brewed from your automatic drip coffee maker. in 2000 you hear your cellphone alarm go off and you get up to a fresh cup of coffee waiting for you in the kitchen with your automatic drip coffee pot. in 2010 you hear your smartphone alarm and you smell the coffee that was brewed in your automatic coffee maker. In 2020 you hear your smart speaker connected to your smartphone as you go to the kitchen and have a nice cup of fresh coffee brewed by your single cup coffee maker.
