How Do You Contain The World?

People are getting restless to get back to work, play, school, gyms. I have been seeing the protests on the news. Wow, they are very frustrated and I do understand. They aren't used to being home ... with their children, family members. Here, I have been hearing of domestic abuse. That makes me sad. The weather is getting beautiful, days are beginning to give one the taste of warmer days that are coming. How in the world can you contain the whole world inside of a house? I can't imagine. How will young people meet other young people ... gracious. School children are used to going to classes, then in the evening to their activites. They had real lives ... they were important somewhere just as their parents who worked ... important at their jobs. I am curious as the days become warmer ... what will happen. These are days that families go to the beach, do summer things. I noticed that Wrightsville Beach is opened up here in North Carolina. The live cam showed one person walking on the sand. In Florida where beaches have been opened ... they are watching how many people are there and saying they aren't keeping safe distances from the other. People are telling on each other constantly. I don't know what to think. I've been feeling very sad lately and I am for-real a very positive person. I can feel down too. I just think about all the pain that has been, still is going on in this world of ours. So, for the past several days ... once again I've slept a lot to keep from thinking. Tomorrow, I am going to stop doing that. I'm one who has to face everything head-on. It's time to. Tomorrow is a new day. No matter how bad ... how long ... everything has a way of turning out to be alright again ... one way or another. I still have on my mind ... how in the world does one contain the world ... making everyone stay put ... stay inside ... gracious. Gracious, that's all I can say.

The anger of the population against government officials in some states has reached the boiling point. In my case, I am doing what I can to stay positive and hope that the offices will reopen next month.

Here at home ... wow, the protests today was with large crowds of both protesters and medical people ... they were being cursed, screamed at (protestors screaming, cursing the nurses, doctors, etc.) Disrespectful. I can understand the frustration but, not to hurt people who aren't doing anything wrong. I wish all was normal again too ... I just don't see it for a while. Of course I'm not an expert ... but, I keep trying to think around everything. I hope I'm wrong. I want all to be good for everyone once again.

@Deepizzaguy Yes, there does seem to be a light at the end of this tunnel. I see people are opening businesses back up and they are going to go about their life ... they have the attitude of doing it or die, one way or other. Time will tell what happens. I still don't know what to say because ... it could go either way ... good or really bad. I have to give them credit for not being afraid of themselves ... their children, family getting sick. I'm not that brave to risk my love ones ... Skip and our Pups2. I mean to keep them safe. I can understand their way of thinking ... yet, on the other hand ... they could make many others get very sick ... life-threatening sick. George ... I can see both sides ... the side I favor is to social distance a little longer to be safe. The good thing is that we have the choice to social distance ourselves ... we do have a choice. I choose to do that ... if, when we go out we will continue to wear masks.

@GrannyGee I agree with you on this matter since there seems to be a light at the end of this tunnel of madness,

Today was a beautiful day and the premier (head of the province similar to a state) told people to go out but to keep a safe distance from one another and to wash their hands when they got back home.

We are now seeing protests being held here at home and elsewhere to open businesses back up ... give everyone their rights back and all kinds of stuff. It is sad because one can see it is going to lead to so much more sickness ... and they are cursing, bad-talking the nurses and medical people that are trying to tell them how dangerous it is. I was thinking how ironic it will be when the nurse ends up caring for one of the protestors who cursed her.

@GrannyGee Why would they do that to the medical professionals? Sad that there are people like that!

It is very difficult to keep positive all the time I know. I was up and then a payment I needed was delayed and I was back down. Now I am just keeping my writing job goals in site and concentrating on making money and not thinking about anything bad.

That's good. My mood goes up ... then after a while I 'feel the pain of the world' and I feel very down. Then it goes up ... I'm am a yo-yo sometimes. Even knowing everything will be eventually alright, being positive ... I have my days.

The self isolation (lock down) has been taking its toll on everyone. We went on self isolation on March 11th. We don't get to see too many people or go to town much, if we need anything we have to wait for Bill's daughter and son in law to bring it to us. Fortunately I do a lot of crafting so my days are filled with activities, from designing and making teddy bears to teaching myself how to tat and more. I've always been good about keeping myself entertained and very busy. And, fortunately I live out in the wood so I can take a walk whenever I want and visit with my neighbors, most of which are four legged with large floppy ears or bushy tails. The other wonderful thing is that I have a great husband who is just as good as I am about keeping himself entertained. I look over at him and he is either checking news and weather on his cell phone or reading one of the many magazines he subscribes to. He also waits anxiously for dinner call because I am spoiling him by fixing him his favorite meals (or coming up with ones that are soon to be added to the favorites list). Hopefully he has gained a few pounds...the last time he was weighed he was at 140. He usually weighs a scant 138 for a 5'11" man. With the virus and all the limitations that have come from it, it brings to mind the old west when people had to be much closer without all the social events and items to entertain them. They had only their families and other limited forms of entertainment....The big event of the week was going to the store or church. Of course the youngsters had school but they still didn't get to come home and flop in front of the television or play on their phones. At least they still have telephones to connect with each other through. The deer around here don't know how to use a telephone, or cell phone.

Your husband sounds like my husband, Skip. We both do things like that. Only lately I've been very down. I get like that when I hear so much bad ... then after a time I'm alright again. I love how you entertain yourself. Normally I am like that but, I don't know where my creative spirit has gone. I love to draw, paint, write, craft and all kinds of thing too. Skip and I both have gained a few pounds lately ... for us it isn't a good thing because we both have lost the weight we wanted.
