Grocery Shopping Home Delivery Comparison

Being in self-isolation nowadays due to the covid19 situation makes grocery shopping in person at the stores a bit dodgy. I've had to resort to go online shopping for food and a few household items. For the two online shopping trips that I've made online, one was a winner for me.
On my first online shopping trip, I found the website of the big box store a bit tedious. For each department and then the food category, it took about 15 seconds for each page to load. A lot of the items were marked as Unavailable so that made less items to choose from. When I finished choosing the items for my order, I chose a day and time for the order to be delivered. Entering the information for payment and the instructions for my location and where to place the order also took more time that I would have liked.
One good thing about the shopping service, though, is that I received a text to notify me that the scheduled time of delivery was going to be delayed...twice. Also, the shopper personally texted me when she started the order and then when she was ready to deliver. I do give the shopping service credit for keeping me up to date with the status of my order. The big box store also sent me an email with a receipt of the order that showed which items were unavailable (nothing I couldn't live without) and the total amount paid.
The second online grocery shopping was with a locally-owned grocery store. The website was easier to navigate and the pages loaded fairly quickly in comparison to the previous online grocery shopping. Entering the payment and address information was pretty easy and didn't take as long as it did on the first order.
When I made the order yesterday, the delivery time available was between 2 and 3 pm today (Monday). I received an email that notified me that my shopping order was completed and ready to deliver. They delivered an hour earlier than was scheduled! The people who delivered my order were store employees and not from a third-party shopping/delivery service. The receipt showed there were 3 unavailable items (again, nothing I couldn't live without) and 1 was a comparable replacement.
From now on, when I do online grocery shopping, it will be with the locally-owned grocery store.

This is better. Even I prefer the local ones.
