Wanted respect not attention....

I have always wanted people around, whether friends, family or office colleagues to respect my work, respect me as an individual... Attention was never in my list, I have always valued respect over attention.... Sometimes, it's quite disheartening to see how people act just to get attention but slowly they are losing respect....
