Yesterday my husband and I celebratre our 50th Golden Anniversary

It was not what we wanted given the shut down and we plan to have a better larger family gathering this summer. But we stayed home and our two oldest sons and a grandson who reside with us now Prepared a really nice dinner for us.
We danced to some favorite Oldies for about 15 minutes and I gave my husband a letter and also I gave him a card I had given him 50 years ago when we got engaged the card is 50 years old.
With no flowers yet blooming where we reside 2800 feet and snow just recently melted off where we live flowers will bloom in about 2 weeks come May. But he found some PussyWillows and made me a card. We then watched a comedy movie off Amazon Prime and had dessert.
It was over all a great day. Our son in law and children called and wished us a happy anniversary and so did many friends wish us such on Facebook and others sent email or called that were family. It was a good day.

Congrats on 50 years. That is a long time. I am glad you had some family to celebrate it with and that they prepared a nice meal for you. Sounds like even during this time you had a nice time together. That is great that so many remembered it and congratulated you.

Congratulations. I was divorced so will probably never reach that plateau. A friend of mine who was also divorced said she sometimes looked at couples like you and your husband and thought, 'Now why could I not do that.' Still have a lot to be thankful for, though.
