In photo is the pickle I made from the papaya fruit. There are still fruits ready to harvest. I plan to harvest that remaining fruits until they are ripe but how about make them pickles and sold? Is it a good idea? What's important, to have them as food or make a little money out of it to buy food?

If you have a lot of papaya then it is good to make it into pickles so it will not spoil in the tree. That is what I do with our mangoes although I do not sell, I just give away the pickled mangoes.

I never heard of papaya pickles but I love pickles, so I think they would be good. Also, pickles keeps longer than fresh fruit, so it's a good use for it. I make my fruit into stewed fruit and keep it in the freezer. I have my last container of loquats in the freezer from last year and the new ones should be ripening at the end of May/beginning of June. I have two trees and they produce a lot! I give away bags and bags of them and still can make fruit to freeze. I also harvested kumquats in February and I have so many I froze a lot of them, just as is. Citrus is very nice in the summer, frozen.

Good to hear that you have plenty of fruit bearing trees there. If there is enough space, how I wish I could grow more.
