Money vs character

What would you choose over the other and why? Let's assume: In a society with all looking towards money and no one bothering about character. Then would it be any use for an individual valuing character over money? Also can an individual change such an environment with strong character values. Let's talk

I know some big time people who have money and a good character. I know they're very few.

It's not about only one thing. If you try to read the whole post you will understand clearly. Also given a situation where at that instance if you had to choose one then which one will it be?

What l meant to say is money without character is as useless as character without money, but it is best to build your character first before you seek money so that you can be able to make rational decisions with your finances.
