30 Day Music Challenge : Day 5 (A Song That Reminds You Of Someone)

There are a few songs that reminds me of someone. Most evoke some special memory of that person. I know of few women who embodied the spirit of New Orleans more than my paternal grandmother. Shortly before she died, we filled out a book together called "Grandmother Remembers," in which she answered questions about her life and we recorded her answers. One page was a list of current favorites. When we asked her her favorite song, her answer was, "When You Wish Upon A Star." I never knew which version she preferred, however, I always go back to Louis Armstrong's version because he's so much a part of the New Orleans culture we both so cherished. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uReGn1l4ir8
