@Aleskys everyday can be Mother's Day or Valentine's Day or any special day. Why the need for one day in the year? For the commercialism so you will by gifts, you will dine out, you will stay in a hotel.

@Alexandoy In part I consider that you are right, any day can be Mother's Day and commercially speaking there are those who fill their pockets based on it, but I like to know that there is a special day for one of the mothers.

I love the sentiment the most valuable thing in life is not what we have but who we have.
I am lucky I get to have three mother's day cellebrations. I am from the UK and our Mother's day is associated with Easter so the date moves, we celebrate the day on the 4th Sunday in Lent which is usually round about March time. So my daughter always sends me a greeting on that day.
I live in Spain now and here Mother's day is the first Sunday in May and so I get another greeting from my daughter on that day too.
My daughter lives in the USA now and so Mother's day in the USA falls on the second Sunday in May in America and she sends me a greeting on that day too lol...

I had all plans to celebrate mother's Day with my mom this year. I booked my tickets too. But then the virus crisis cancelled everything.
