I am impressed with the actions of eight year old Noah Ryman who was saving his money that he possessed in his piggy bank to purchase a Lego toy set. Noah must have been watching the news broadcast in Woodstock Virginia where he lives with his parents when one evening after dinner, Noah asked his parents to help him count money he had in his piggy bank which was $7 dollars and 87 cents. Noah changed his mind of buying his Lego toys to making his savings from his piggy bank to the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital so the hospital can heal the sick patients in their facility. After Noah and his parents decided to make his donation from his piggy bank to hospital officials in person, the higher ups at the hospital were moved to tears of joy that a young child show compassion for the sick. The result of Noah's donation was that the hospital officials and first responders decided not only call Noah a hero for his donation which is small compared to donations from rich people by holding a parade in Noah's honor at his parents home. Children these days are learning that giving up their dreams of buying toys to assist persons who really need help is one way to be praised as a hero.

You are right since children today are seeing that it is better to give than receive in these tough times.

I was like HOW MUCH DID he have in his piggy bank? And then read the rest, that makes more sense

It was a small donation. However the hospital appreciated his donation to the point they were amazed that he cares for the patients that need help.

Good, the boy learned early that it's always better to be the giver than the receiver.

I agree with you since most children would be buying their toys.

It is wonderful to see how, from a very young age, children are capable of surprising others with such good feelings.
