What time is it ok to start drinking?

I would not classify myself as a drinker, though I do enjoy a Mamosa here and there or a Triple Black ... but yesterday was a bit of a rough day and at about 2:00 I was seriously considering throwning back a Triple Black! I should also note that I'm a stay at home mom of 3 toddlers.

I would like to be able to tell you a good time to drink....but I don't drink. I would think the best time is when the dad of the babies get home. LOL Hand him the reins and get plastered! hahahaha

I'm not one to get plastered, can't remember the last time I was drunk (and not because I drank too much to remember). I agree with you about waiting until Daddy gets home!

Good idea on waiting until the dad gets home. I am sure that once he is, you can light it up. And don't give me the last time you were plastered. I think I saw you plastered about two weenends ago.

So what we all really want to know is if you drink while running your daycare and how do the parents feel about this?? :P

I think have a drink when u want a drink, although waiting until after lunch is a good idea. When i was at school my mother held a tupperware party, inviting over a few more parents from the school. Harmless right? wrong! It was nearly home time and i got a message to say that all us kids will be picked up in a limo from school, because our parents were all drunk. That was a lot of fun for us kids. The Tupperware party went till 2am. So i would also suggest waiting till the kids are picked up from school lol

I don't know really. I think I usually wait until 5 or 6p.m. But there has been a few times when I have started at like 2. lol But most of the time that was like at parties (Christmas, BBQ's types). Nothing wrong with wanting one early every now and then. hehe

I think probably time is less important than the situation. Drinking is never good when you're driving not matter what the time ... drinking heavily when you're the only one around to supervise small children ... drinking while saying your wedding vows ... drinking while giving your sermon on a Sunday morning ... all bad ideas! :)

I don't drink but if I did drink occasionally I wouldn't do it while alone with my children. If something happened to them when, or because I was tipsy I could never forgive myself. My husband would be super upset with me too. When I get stressed out I dump my girls into the jogging stroller and go for a run or sometimes I take us all bike riding on this trail a few miles away from home with the goal to tire them out and to let the endorphins help me de-stress and re-energize. Or sometimes when I'm really out of it I just suck it up until my husband gets home and then I go for a run or a bike ride myself because that's much more relaxing and I can go on harder trails or whatever.

it's not a mtter of what time of day it is, it's a matter of how much and how fast you drink the drinks. there are people that work the graveyard shift and head to the bar at 7 in the morning.
