How would you feel if the only big nightclub in your town decided to close?

What would your reaction be to the club closing? Would you say good riddens or would you miss it? Delaware just received a shocker today as its one big nightclub in Wilmington closed yesterday without any warning. It was our main source of nightlife and many people are outraged. I will definitely miss it as they had good food and entertainment there.

Honestly, I wouldn't miss it. I am not fond of going to night clubs. My sister has dragged me to some before but I just didn't really enjoy it. It felt like it was a meat market. Men and women on the prowl for each other. Dancing that causes everyone to get hot and sweat. As if it is not bad enough that there is so much heat from everyone being packed into a small area already! Then you get them exerting themselves some more!
Even walking through with my sister I got "tapped" (as my sister calls it) many of times. I wasn't looking for someone to "tap" me. Then there is always drinking. I don't drink so I am really out of place. 'Just a Coke thanks...No, I don't want anything else in it...just Coke." I understand the bartenders earn more money on how much brooze they sell...so I am normally looked at as a freak because I don't drink.
No, I wouldn't miss it. It just isn't my cup of tea. But sorry to hear that you will miss it. Maybe something else better will open up in its place.

I will only miss the restaurant part of it. Me and my coworkers would go there and get something to eat and chat but I never go there for dancing or to get drunk. Somebody is trying to buy it and reopen it under a different name but there are a lot of legal issues involved. You are right though about a meat market as this club was just like the one you had mentioned.

My husband and I don't go out that much, so it really wouldn't matter to us if the nightclub closed down. We would rather have get togethers at our home instead of having to drive. Guess that really means we more of the homebody type and not nightclub type lol.

It would be unlikely to bother me nowadays because I have not been to such clubs for quite a few years.
Nevertheless, I do agree that there should be at least one decent nightclub available for those that would frequent such a place. The fact that they are of no use to me does not change the fact that they serve a purpose and people should be offered the level of entertainment that they choose.

Where i live, this was the only real place for people to go dancing and have fun with friends or family. They also had a very nice restaurant and video games for all ages so it took away from our state. We will have to go out of state to have any fun, though I don't go clubbing myself.

i think i wont even feel the difference, since i already stopped clubbing few years ago. We have so many clubs here that you dont even know which one you want to go to. Maybe you should consider moving here? :0)

It wouldn't bother me because I don't go out much. I bet it made some people mad though.
