How Can Over 60,000 DEAD AMERICANS Be "Very Strong Numbers"?

Yesterday Donald Trump made the cold-hearted and cruel statement that "Our death totals, our numbers, per million people, are really very, very strong. We're very proud of the job we've done."
Those "numbers" are DEAD AMERICANS, dead people, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, spouses, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other loved ones. What an insult to those that have been left behind, those who didn't even have the chance to say goodbye!
Never did I dream we'd have a "POTUS" with not a shred of empathy or sympathy for others. It's always all about him, even when he's talking about how many people have died he's more worried about giving himself credit than anything else.
Any thoughts?

Due to the US system Trump won but the majority of voters didn't vote for him.
Hilary got more individual votes than trump by around 3 million.

As Mike already stated, Trump did NOT get the votes of the majority of Americans. Actually Hillary got 3 million more votes than he did and when you factor in third party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein 10 million more voters were against him than for him.

@thedevilinme So true. He committed murder, didn't he? (I haven't watched the series yet but plan on adding it to my binge list.) I have a feeling Trump was complicit in a couple himself, namely Jamal Khashoggi and Jeffrey Epstein.

I can say a lot of things about him . . . but on this matter, it's another weird, thoughtless thing he's said. He cannot speak tactfully . . . no matter how anyone thinks they can interpret what he says, a lot of it comes off wrong. A POTUS should have really very, very strong public speaking skills ,

I catch snippets of his briefings because I don't want to have to listen to him blabber on. I did catch that though and I thought "well there's proof that he's not the sharpest crayon in the box"
Honestly, I'm still very afraid that he will end up being re-elected.
