Marrying from another religion

Can you marry from another religion?got a distance brother who marry from another religion he is complaining of the marriage now.I doubt they are not respecting each other differences,they are both talking of divorce now.

I don't think that is possible,everybody are not the same,before I can indulge in such marriage I must ensure I understand the kind of woman I want to marry and how her religion work.

They should have thought about it before they got married. It`s really hard to be married with different religion
