It was a call a mother dreads, my daughter said she heard the ambulance siren and so she took a peek from her small window, hoping not to see anyone she knew yet more unfortunately, she saw a body being extricated. She sent me a picture, and that was when I thought how the image could affect the mind, especially when one is alone in a tiny flat in London. Told my daughter to sing and pray, what else could I say? For sometime in February, when Italy was taking a toll, I was telling my daughter to take the necessary precautions to heart. She said that there is no such advisement in London, in fact, only the foreign students in her university were wary about the situation. It was probably only when that clown Boris was down that the severity of the pandemic was taken seriously. Much like another clown Donald in DC, will of a wisps the two of them, leading their people to the top of the death chart.

I agree. People have the notion that, "It can't happen to me." @eileenleyva .

@marlina And you would think with the US having the highest number of cases that they'd be paying attention.

It saddens me that our world’s top Countries are the ones that took it less seriously that they mow have the highest mortality rates. I have friends and classmates that have been a casualty in UK and both are medical fronntliners. My sister in US got infected too as she works in an emergency room in a hospital. Luckily, she got mildly infected and was able to get back to work after a week.

@eileenleyva i do not know about the genes haha. Basing from the DOH reports it looks like we are entering the flattening of the curve Which they say is a good sign. Although we still are not safe from getting infected still unless a cure or vaccine will be available soon

@rsa101 Some genes are prone to cancer, some to diabetis. I think some genes could also be immune to CoViD-19. Thanks for the DOH report. That certainly is good news.

Glad your sister has recovered. It's most likely in the genes. Ha ha. Am sorry for friends who succumbed to CoViD-19. I have a few in mine, too, parents and neighbors and church mates. As the coronavirus lags on, and even mutates, I hear now, humans are becoming more vulnerable. In February, they referred to the CoViD-19 an old man's disease. Now, reports say children are targeted right to the very heart.

Countries were caught by surprise because everyone was deceived by China.

The protestations only happen in America. All other countries put on a lock down have not viewed the enforced quarantine as curtailment of freedom. Disinformation has gripped America in the form of fake news. The people do not know anymore who to believe.

I know it's like what; they think a 'world pandemic' isn't serious @marlina . Good grief!!!!! And how long before a truly tested vaccine is available and works?

@The vaccine might take a few more months yet though testing has been done on a human volunteer. Such a magnanimous act. For most of humans, pandemic is a word unheard of. It's simply not in their vocabulary. Whenceth the pandemic came, the disbelief first, then the denial. It is a most unfortunate situation.

Nope, she is not a nurse. She's a student. Yup, she is in isolation and is taking extreme precaution this pandemic time. Thank you.

It's sad. And any blame game doesn't work There was delay in lockdown and that led to disaster to great amount. Moreover these countries are reporting correct numbers unlike the one we know that caused the world crisis by hiding secrets. Moreover there are more people protesting against lockdown and flouting the rules.
