Too Sad, A Broadcasting Network Signed Off

Last night, I watched two anchors of a ABS-CBN television station bid goodbye to their viewers because of the cease and desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission(NTC). The NTC is a quasi-judicial body under the Office of the President. The NTC said the ABS-CBN's franchise expired, but the House of Representatives failed to immediately act on the network's application for a new franchise. It's so sad; the first time the ABS-CBN went off the air during Martial Law under President Marcos, and now, it went off the air under the present administration.

@acelawrites True. That's a lot of additional people who are now jobless.
