Stupid People

Outside of my friends here at Mylot, the US has a lot of 'stupid' people. Safe distancing and wearing masks seem to be bothersome to those 'stupid' people. Considering Texas had 724 NEW cases in Dallas county alone from Sunday, Monday and Tuesday; Oh yeah.....let's open everything back up. Now my main concern is that Ft. Worth is going to open the Zoo at the end of the month. Now considering that humans transmit the virus to animals, I can just see the petting zoo (part of the facility), where kids get to pet goats and sheep turning out to be a cluster. But good ole' Governor Abbott seems to think this is all fine and dandy. Stupid, stupid, El Stupido.

Governments need to be led by the science and make decisions that will safeguard the people who voted them into power. If those decisions are unpopular in the short them, that is just tough luck. When politicians only take actions that they think will win them votes next time round, they are failing in their job. They are paid well to make tough decisions, and that is what they must do.

@nanette64 People who have had the virus will tell you that it can be a very unpleasant experience and it can have enduring effects - some of which may appear further down the line. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, however stupid they may be.

I guess if the people want to remain ignorant @indexer ; I guess it's one sure way of controlling the population explosion.

Yes, but how long can you go on like this? For two more years that the experts you listen to recommend? Also, it takes longer than 2 days in the incubation period for a person to be infected so those stats are dubious. You have heard and read about virus stats being exposed as inflated and false? If we can't trust government to send a stimulus check correctly then we are to believe them and their "experts" on this subject? 98% recovery rate. 85% recovery for those over 80.

Yeah, the stats for recovery are ridiculous @JohnRoberts . And when the President's own medical chief says it's too soon to go back to normal; that is one dumb president.

@JohnRoberts I understand everything now. I just posted a new one on how we've all been scammed with a video.

Stupidity is not something that belongs solely to the US. In my country there are some things in the news that make me want to be the authority as the ones there donĀ“t do things right or do it after everything is a mess. Probably they want to show off first and then take care of the population. And then, many youngsters in my country feell they are immortal and do not understand about social distances or masks.

Wait til you read my latest post showing a video @marguicha . By the end of it, I was not shocked at what our government has been doing.

The free part of our zoo is still closed. Only the drive through part is open.
