"Choose your plague, America."

23 September 2017 was a dire foreboding. It was the day America celebrated the eclipse that crossed across the entire country. The people were seen excited and jubilant, as if the spectacular solar scene was a harbinger of good news. Nope. Since that day, disaster after disaster has come to grip the nation. Just that, calamities also happened elsewhere in the world that it was not as more pronounced in America. But today, when the death tally has hit over 70 thousand due to Covid-19, it is apparent that America has been crippled. And the killer hornets have come to highlight the crippling situation. One quipped, "Choose your plague, America!" I do not condone such a statement. It's a metaphor for the plagues of Egypt. But we know what happened to that ancient story. And probably that is another foreboding that America has to look into, for a hardened heart commands the White House, oblivious to the deaths that may double in three weeks, projection shows. Oblivious too, to the sufferance of the people mourning. The tenth plague is the president. He is delusional.

As an outsider, I am really appalled at the extend of what the American people are able to tolerate with the behavior of this President. Every time I watched his press conference, he's always attacking the reporters who asked legitimate questions and he's always accusing them of fake news. Only his beloved FoxNews isn't spreading fake news. Other news agencies like CNN, NBC, CBS, and others are all fake news reporters. He thinks that he's instilling confidence in people when he accuses these prestigious news stations of spreading fake news. I watched a YouTube video of Jordan Klepper interviewing Trump's supporters and they are as stupid and ignorant as Trump. I guess it takes one to love one. Even after causing more than one hundred thousand Americans to die, these Trump ignoramus would still vote for him in the next election. Scary.

All your points true. Tide is turning now, with protesters holding grounds in peaceful rallies. There was an initial infiltration of the extremists vandalizing and burning properties but the people will prevail. You have a good grasp of the state of America.

@eileenleyva There are so many videos on YouTube that criticize the President’s response to the Coronavirus outbreak. I still have yet to find at least one that supports him. And now people are apalled at his response to the Floyd’s homicide and demonstrations.

@UmiNoor America in crisis. They have two pandemics - CoViD- 19 and social injustice brought about by racial discrimination.

What's scary to me is that so many people voted for him. Now I gotta look up these killer hornets.

I don't know what kind of mass hypnosis he had utilized but I think it is wearing off. Some people who previously believed in him are coming out of the trance. Survey now reports the scale has been tipped against the orange-tinted mongrel. Anything we should know about the killer hornets?

@TheHorse Thank you for that information. I don't usually avoid the hornets. I would now. Should have known that because I already got stung in 2007 that ensued hospital confinement. Sigh.

@eileenleyva I certainly hope so. As for the killer hornets, don't get stung by more than one or two and any given time.

But can anybody really choose the plague that would befall him/her? I think it is way beyond the control of any individual. What could s/he could only do is to brave it.

The title of the post is a figure of speech.
