The biggest network in the Philippines was officially closed since the 5th of May. Its news overshadowed almost all other news including Covid-19 updates
There were lots of contrasting reactions to the network's closure. A lot of people are saddened. Some are glad.
Some say it's political, some say the network violated some laws because of their Pay-Per-View channel through their 'Black Box'.
Here are some of the hilarious reactions to the network's closure...
Warning: Don't do what they did to your own TV

Perhaps, because of the Internet and Commercialism?
Mainstream media these days tend to over-emphasize the negatives in their headlines, just to catch the attention of the readers.

@jrlcentral i can honestly tell you, i have heard that argument before. The issue is, that media always started with bad news. It was the stuff people wanted to get through first.
newspapers led with negative headlines starting more than 150 years ago.

@msdivkar It appears that way. However, ABS-CBN seems to have committed some violations as well... I will make a post on these violations later, I'm just gathering some solid information.

I just realized 'Closure' is not the proper term. They're stopped from broadcasting through TV and radio, but their Internet counterparts are still functioning. The company can still fight for their opening franchise

The good thing is those people won't sit watching teevee any longer. The addiction to Channel 2 is curtailed. Now, perhaps, they could go to work.
