I've been watching the wonderful Kem Burns documentary on country music, going back to the Carter Family and Jimmy Rogers, and others before them, and the beginning of the Country Music business. I grew up about 60 miles from Nashville, Tennessee, listening to the Grand Ole Opry, the great country music radio show, on most Saturday nights. Nashville remains the home of the Opry, the longest lasting radio show in the country.

I used to listen to the Grand Ol Oprey every Sat. night. I haven't thought about it for years. Are they still on the air?

Country music has a history of some great artists whose music is still being played today on the radio.
