After a couple of countdowns about prison, it’s time to talk about where you’re incarcerated: your house! So here are ten songs that have “house” in the title. Some of these will repeat from the “things to live in” countdown, but there will be no cabins or mansions or hotel rooms on this countdown. Let’s funk this up to start it off. #10: Brick House - Commodores I’m sure women’s groups didn’t like the lyrics of this song. I’m also sure that not too many people noticed the lyrics because they were too busy dancing to it. While a lot of people swooned over Lionel Richie’s 80s solo material, I was appalled that the guy doing MOR stuff like “Say You, Say Me” was also the guy who’d done this song. Get up and dance to one of the great soul/funk songs of the 70s. Brick House Written by Lionel Richie, Milan Williams, Walter Orange, Ronald LaPread, Thomas McClary, William King, and Shirley Hanna-King Recorded by the Commodores From Commodores, 1977 What a winning hand:
The great Lionel Richie and company from the album The Commodores released in 1977. They sure don't make music like this anymore!

Glad you enjoyed it. I know it doesn’t compensate for the country music, but......

This kind of brick house is a lot more fun than the alternative.
