Can you guess the fruit?

I'm not sure if all of you have seen or eaten this fruit but it's very common here in my country. Well, I understand for those who are not familiar with this as this may not available worldwide. At first, I was reluctant to pick this one because I never thought that it can be eaten. I almost let it be rotten or fall down from the tree thinking that I can do nothing with it. I'll will show you next time how the fruit looks like in its slice form.

@ZedSmart To me it looks like ripe mangoes that we can get from the store (this may look like an overripe mango). But it's not? Ok, I'm curious now !

My first guess would be a mango but I would like to see the inside when cut and the size of the seed to make a better guess. Also knowing the size would help since I can't tell its size by the picture.
