A little while back I posted a discussion about a starving cat. I left it a can of tuna. It was gone the next morning. I did not see the cat again and was worried that it starved to death.
Yesterday, I saw it again. It looked a little better than it did before. Someone else must have fed it. I wanted to give it more tuna but I could not get near it. It kept running away but would watch me from a distance.
I will name him Hopeful because he wants someone to take care of him but does not trust anyone. Poor thing.
Do you have a story about a cat?

I have rescued over 50 cats in my life-time @akalinus . I now have 12. All ages, varieties and personalities. Depending on how long she has been alone and you putting out food will determine her coming back regularly. It does not mean however that she wants to be friends. And if she has been mistreated, she would be afraid of getting close to you because she doesn't know what your intentions are.

You can keep the food and go. She will have it after you leave

No, I don't have a story of a cat but I am glad to see that you care. Nice.
