Have you seen the movie The terminal? A man (Tom Hanks) leaving in the Newyork terminal for months. It was a good movie.
I heard about a similar story, A man ( foreigner ) staying in Delhi airport from mid-march as He can't return back to his country and can't be granted a visa. He has some criminal records. He was provided with some essential goods by the airport authority.
Note: Not fully aware of the facts. I will get those soon

Yes, I did see the movie. I saw it quite some time ago. I like Tom Hanks.
