The good thing about lockdown is we spend more time with our family. My family and I had this bonding moment and it will continue even after the lockdown. Before, we don't eat dinner together. Since we have other things to do. How about you, myLotters? How do you catch up with your family? Image Credit: primer.com.ph

I think, with family the bonds can be made effortlessly.... they come from within, may be soul connections.... But yeah, you need to show you care that's utmost....

Family is always there for us. No matter what the circumstances are. I am referring to the immediate family. There are evil relatives that will crash our hearts because of greediness.

@Shavkat Oh!!! This there everywhere, I think the only way to handle this is to keep transparency, the closer you are lesser are the changes of misunderstanding...

I am sorry to hear this. I also lost my father six years ago. But we can still remember good memories with them in the past.

Are you far away from them? I do agree that a mobile phone can patch up the longingness with our family members easily.

@Miss_Leafy It is indeed nice to catch up with them. How's the situation out there? Is your country lockdown, too?

We have a daily video call back home so we can check how well my mother and the kids are doing. While I and my siblings here in Manila learned to apply our old way of chores distribution and also eating while reminiscing the old times:)

I had experienced the same scenario. I used to work in Manila. But it is my routine to call my family way back home. I tried to be independent when being away.

@bbghitte You are not alone. My mom is not into techy things. She prefers to call than sending text messages. Lately, she is into video call now.

@Shavkat good for you, my mother is afraid to learn using these gadgets. Good thing my brother was able to go home before the lockdown so we were able to have this video call daily. If not maybe we will just be satisfied hearing their voice while calling.

The best tool to make it closer is to have open communication. It can never be wrong if we do this.

I do my best to catch up with them every now and then. "Distance makes the heart grow fonder" in our case .

I can feel you with this sentiment. I missed my younger sister and her baby son. Since we dumped our relatives on both sides of my parents, my family and I became closer than before.

Nothing much has changed in this lockdown when it comes to spendign family time together. We always did that. Yes the only difference it has made is that our husband is with us all the time. Earlier he had a lot of business travel.
