Wherein I talk about things

Earlier I told you guys I was getting offline so that I could deal with my room once more. I have done a lot of moving of my bed lately.
Well it is nearly in the position I want it in. I need to get myself a platform bed for the mattress, but that is something that will just have to wait.
What did I accomplish today?
I moved my bedding off my bed and started washing it. I put the mattress and box spring against the closet door. I moved everything off the desk and found a new home for most of it. I removed the drawers and moved the desk. I dusted the desk, moved it where I wanted it and vacuumed the floors.
I moved the mattress and boxspring back / further against the opposite wall. I now have access to my window where I did not before.
More needs to be done.
What I need to buy
A platform for my bed so I can get rid of the box spring and place the bed where I want it.
A desk chair.
I am tired, but am glad that I've accomplished what I have. There is still stuff to be done, but I am getting there! I feel so much better now that things are getting the way I want them to be. This is a long time coming.
I need to decide on what kind of platform bed I want. There's one that has a drawer, but unfortunately it is not elevated which is what I need.
I'm hungry, and tired.
[b]When was the last time you purchased something for your bedroom?

It would be nice if I could get someone to make mine. I'd love to have some sort of platform (no headboard) with storage underneath.
Ah, new flooring! If I was to ever get new flooring for the room, I'd probably want something ridiculous like those RV carpet tiles that can just be removed and washed.

@ScribbledAdNauseum it will be a type of tile, not carpet.
The bed has the shelf headboard from the previous bed. 2 big drawers on each side. I like it.

@paigea I've seen carpet tiles, they exist. Was watching a video of this family who gutted out a bus and made it into a rolling home. She had carpet tiles.
Oh, the shelf headboards are nice. I've had one of those before. Personally, I like the idea of a captain's bed (drawers underneath.

I’m thinking a couple of years ago when I got a new spread.

It's been absolute ages since I've bought a new bedspread. I have bought blankets, but not a quilt.

@Tampa_girl7 That's good. I have so many here. They are older, but they are still in great condition.

The duvet's are the type of blankets that have to layers, correct? I am thinking of the quilt inside of a protective type of covering.

It's been 16 years since we purchased anything for the bedroom. We sleep in recliners now. Glad you are making progress.

Yes, I am happy that I am making progress. Recliners are nice to sleep in, but I always wake up disoriented when I've slept in a recliner.

@Nevena83 There are some more things that need to be done, but I have to wait as I do not want to fill my trash barrels up too full.
